Filling out the Kenya visa application form should not take longer than approximately 15-20 minutes. The application form consists of basic visa information such as personal details, passport information, travel plans, and security questions. During the process you will be required to submit your answers to the application form and a couple of supporting identifying documents.

You will also be required to include a photo that must be in color and which must have been taken in the previous 6 months. Please also bear in mind that your face must be clearly visible in the photo and no non-prescription eye-glasses or headgear are permitted. Any errors with the photo could lead to delays in the processing of your visa.

Once the application is filled out and paid for, the application will be submitted to the Kenyan Government and the processing time is usually between 24 and 72 hours.

Please note: Failing to complete the correct information or application errors could lead to the rejection of the visa application or a delay in the application processing time. Always apply with plenty of time in advance in order to ensure receiving your Kenya visa on time.

Receiving and checking your Kenya visa status online is a simple and straightforward process. It requires very few steps on the part of the applicant and doesn’t necessitate a further submission of information or contact details beyond the initial application.

Please be aware that you cannot present the visa on a mobile phone or digital device as this will not be accepted by Kenyan immigration and will prevent you from being able to enter the country. It is absolutely essential that the document containing your approved visa must be printed on paper for submission on arrival or you will not be permitted entry into Kenya.

Applying for a tourist visa to Kenya is simple. If you are from one of the 141 eligible countries that are able to apply online you will be able to get a Kenya visa directly to your email inbox in just a matter of days. The countries participating as members of this scheme includes all EU member states, the USA, Canada, China and Russia as well as many others.

In order to get your admission documents for Kenya all you need to do to apply for a tourist visa online is follow the straightforward Kenya eVisa online application through to completion. Once completed you will receive your approved document via email which can then be printed before travel to Kenya.

The processing time for the Kenya eVisa is between 24 to 72 hours, although it is recommended that travelers apply in advance in case of complications with the application or any holiday periods that could cause slower application processing.

Once you’ve received your approved Kenya visa, you will then be able to visit the country for up to 90 days. Simply print off your completed visa and be ready to present it on arrival with you passport on arrival.

Note: Errors or false information will slow down the application approval process and could also risk the possibility of a visa rejection. Double-check your answers in the Kenya eVisa application form and make sure you enter your passport details correctly.

Unfortunately, it is only possible to apply for a Kenya eVisa online, as opposed to renewing it. Once your Kenya visa expires, it will be necessary to apply for a new one if you wish to visit Kenya again as a tourist.

Visitors who visit with an eVisa, subsequently leave Kenya, and wish to return at a later date will be expected to apply for a visa for Kenya once more. A Kenyan eVisa can only be used once, on arrival into the country. As this document doesn’t permit multiple entries into the Kenyan nation a totally new visa will have to be submitted to immigration on your next visit to the country.

If you do wish to return to Kenya and apply for a new visa this can be done easily online as before by filling out the online visa application form for Kenya. You will once again, need to submit all the necessary documents, pay another processing fee and resubmit a full application. As was the case previously, care must be taken to submit the correct information or your visa submission may be delayed or declined by the Kenyan immigration authorities.

This is also the case if you have already received a Kenya eVisa and it has expired before being used to enter Kenya. You will additionally have to apply for a new visa online in order to replace the invalidated copy you held previously. A Kenyan eVisa is valid for up to 3 months from the date of approval, so be sure to double check the date of your document before travel to ensure that it is still valid and ready to use.

On the other hand, if you are visiting Kenya with a single entry visa and wish to extend your visa, you can do so when in Kenya. The extension process for the Kenya tourist visa can be done at the Immigration Headquarters in Nairobi during your trip. The visa extension will grant travelers an extra 90-day stay in the country.

However, you can only stay in Kenya for a maximum of 180 days on any one trip with a single entry visa. Extensions of visa will require a different type of visa and you may be required to reapply for an appropriate document from outside the country.

East Africa Tourist Visa or EATV, allows tourists to travel to multiple countries in the region under a single visa. The entry document can be obtained online as well as on arrival and entitles visitors to a 90-day multiple entry visit to up to 3 East African countries. However, whilst Kenya is a member of this particular scheme with Republic of Rwanda and Republic of Uganda, another countries like Tanzania isn’t. This means you would still need a second visa for your visit Kenya and Tanzania countries. Furthermore, the EATV is more expensive than the Kenya visa, so unless you’re traveling to many more countries in the region, it’s more costly than necessary.
